Pueblo in Leon

Today we went to a Pueblo right outside the city of Leon where Cristina's family has a house. The house is awesome, literally in the middle of no where but is so cute and peaceful. The house is over 200 years old and thy are currently fixing it up. You walk into what looks like an old barn into this room with original white stone in the shape of flowers covering the ground. There are rooms coming off of where you walk in but non are really attached. The room we stayed in was the living room/dining room and was heated only by a stove. Today was cold again so we had to wait with our coats and everything on until the stove heat up the little room. To get to the rooms on he second floor you had to walk outside and go up the stairs. Outside was a big courtyard surrounded by a fence. In this court yard were plants and a small tree and a fountain that was frozen solid. In the corner was a large ceramic chiminea where we cooked our BBQ over a wood fire. At the back of the courtyard was a wooden door that lead to a small yard for their chickens. This means fresh. Fresh eggs and fresh chicken.
We finally got everything cookin and ate huge grilled sardines (which I didn't eat), jamb ribs, bacon, and some part of a pig. All this of course was accompanied by sidra. After hours of eating and talking we finally headed back to Leon where Manuel and I watched soccer for a couple of hours, we all ate and called it a night.
I would like to just mention again how small this family is. I am taller than every member. Cristina and her mom are both more than a head shorter than me, the dad is probably 5'2 and the son 5'4. The son is 24 and besides the fact that he has a 5 o'clock shadow I would have thought he was younger the Christian. We also both stepped on the scale and weigh the same...he's gotta beef up a little or I have to go back to the states where I'm "average" size.
