Pig legs everywhere!
Today I met my host family. their names are Cristina y Manuel. Manuel is a police man and Cristina is an english teacher. I've been speaking Spanish all day and my heads really starting to hurt haha. Manuel y Cristina took me on a walk around the city and showed me where my school was, its only about a 15 minutesfrom the house. After we came back to the house we drank some tea and watched futbol. The house is a one floor apartment. they gave me my own room and bathroom with a computer and a t.v. I'm spoiled haha. For lunch we just had a little meal of a fried egg with french fried, some dried salmon, tomatoes and olives and bread. Haha a weird meal. After we went to the mall and walked around a bought me some conditioner and a cell phone. My phone was only 10 Euros. Que barato! The grocery stores are filled with giant pig legs here! After we went to a bar and tried a tipical drink from Oviedo. It was called Sidra. With this drink the waiter only gives u 2 cups for 3 ppl and he puts the bottle way up high and pours it into the class that he holds as low as he can. he only pour a little bit and you have to chug it and give it right back to him so he can pour for the other people at you table. After everyone drinks the waiter leaves and comes back about ever 2o min to keep pouring. After this we walked home and had dinner around 1030 or 11. The meals are very different here we eat a very small breakfast, a hugee lunch around 3 and another small meal around 10. So far I'm lovin it here and cant wait to get to know even more and learn more Spanish. I've been speaking all day and my brain is killing me! But now its almost 2 in the morning and I can't fall asleep because of jet lag and I have to wake up for school in the morning.
