Another picnic in the park!!

On Saturday I went back to Parque Invierno for Cristina's birthday picnic.  I was there with about 20 of Cristina's friends all spread out on blankets in the park.  Cristina cooked enough food for 100 people and once the food came out we were all quiet because our mouths were stuffed with food!  Cristina made tortilla (egg and potato cake), Bollo Preñao (round balls of bread with chorizo inside,my favorite because it was actually a little spicy!), ham and cheese sandwiches that were cut into small squares, and lots of chips and popcorn!  Of course the chips were all ham flavored haha. No one was  really able to eat a lot of the Bollo Preñao because everyone thought they were too spicy meanwhile I was chowing down because it was a "little spicy".  Here spicy food does not really exist so when a food has a little spice no one can eat it!  All I can think about is how they would act if they came to the US and tried some real spicy food!  The picnic was really fun because for a few hours I was just surrounded by slang spanish being spoken really fast.  This is awesome to help with my hearing and understanding of the language.  The day I can really understand all of them I'll be like a native Spanish speaker! that's going to take a lot more practice though.
