Fútbol fútbol fútbol

Fútbol here is a way of life, and I've joined that life! I watch it everyday with my host dad and going to a bar or Sidreria to watch the big games with Manuel has become a normal thing. I also started playing soccer about 3 times a week at a small cement court near my house with the neighborhood guys. Every day there are tons of guys at the court playing. The guys range from really young like 7 to guys in their 30s. And don't be fooled, even the 7 year olds are like little Cristiano Ronaldo's. It's awesome too hearing all the slang that comes with playing soccer on the street. I was playing in the sneakers and after a few days I ripped right through them and had to buy some cheap soccer shoes. The slang here is to call guys tio and girls tia...so it's always ¡tia pasa the last time I played I pulled a move and blew right by this kid and the whole place started yelling ¡¡oooooooooooo mira la tia!!
